Director of Strategic Partnerships

Location: Remote with some national travel

Position Overview

The Director of Strategic Partnerships (DSP) is a senior leadership role responsible for advancing the Family Centered Treatment Foundation’s national presence, strengthening strategic relationships, and supporting policy‑aligned growth across states, provider organizations, and managed care entities. This position blends business development, strategic outreach, and field‑informed policy awareness to expand the reach and impact of Family Centered Treatment® (FCT) nationwide.

The DSP will cultivate and maintain high‑value partnerships with state agencies, provider organizations, managed care organizations, and national associations; represent the Foundation at key conferences; and ensure consistent follow‑through on emerging opportunities. This role requires a energetic, relationship‑driven professional who understands that policy moves at the speed of relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead national partnership development with state systems, provider agencies, MCOs, and allied organizations to expand FCT implementation and influence.

  • Manage outreach pipelines, timelines, and follow‑up processes to ensure consistent engagement and movement toward strategic goals.

  • Represent the Foundation at major national conferences (such as CWLA, FFTA) and association events (such as CAFCS, TACFS, OCA) and other relevant state or national convenings.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders across child welfare, behavioral health, kinship care, and related fields.

  • Monitor national trends, policy developments, and association activities to identify opportunities that align with FCT’s mission and growth strategy.

  • Serve as a liaison to key national associations to ensure the Foundation remains informed, visible, and connected to policy conversations that matter.

  • Support the development of marketing, outreach, and communication strategies that elevate the Foundation’s visibility and value proposition.

  • Collaborate with internal leadership to align partnership efforts with organizational priorities, training capacity, and model fidelity.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors regarding emerging opportunities, risks, and long‑term positioning.

  • Utilize technology platforms to track contacts, manage communications, and maintain organized records of outreach and partnership activity.

  • Lead or be a central figure in FCT national events.

  • Provide policy updates to the FCT national provider groups.

Qualifications

  • Strategic partnerships: 3 years preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, human services, social work, or related field required; graduate degree preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic engagement within child welfare, behavioral health, or related human services sectors.

  • Business development, partnerships, outreach, and familiarity with policy environments, national associations, and state‑level human services systems; direct FCT knowledge is not required and can be learned.

  • Experience engaging with Managed Care Organizations is required.

  • Experience with Social Welfare is required.

  • Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to maintain a wide network of professional contacts.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and follow‑through skills.

  • High proficiency with technology platforms used for communication, tracking, and relationship management.

  • Experience representing an organization at conferences or professional convenings.

  • Ability to synthesize policy trends and translate them into strategic opportunities.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple timelines and contacts simultaneously.

Position Type: Exempt

Time Requirement: FTE >35 hours per week.

Salary: Commensurate with experience. Starting base rate $90,000/annual.

IMPLEMENTATION DIRECTOR (ID) -this position was formally known as the Program Consultation Director (PCD)

 Full-time Salaried Position

Job Objective: Be at the forefront of design, training, certification, licensing, and oversight for Family Centered Treatment® (FCT) organizations.

Accountable To: Lead Implementation Director

Position Description: The Implementation Director will ensure an effective training, adherence and oversight process is executed for contracted Family Centered Treatment organizations. The Implementation Director will be at the forefront of program coordination, clinical field-based & digital training development, model adherence, training and oversight, supervision training and oversight, and data collection process and oversight. The Implementation Director will follow the training and development schedule outlined for FCT provider organization and will maintain regular oversight with FCT organizations to ensure all components are fully utilized and adhered to.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Setup, training, development, and oversight of FCT contract organizations

  • Initial setup of the comprehensive online training mechanism the Wheels of Change, roll-out to all contracted organization staff. On-site team, management, and field-based training including check-off process for certification in Family Centered Treatment.

  • Collect, track, and organize required materials for certification of contracted organization staff in FCT.

  • Collect, track, and organize required materials for certification of contracted organization staff in FCT Supervision.

  • Collect, organize, analyze, and monitor FCT adherence measures for contracted FCT organizations.

  • Design, organize and participate in business development, collateral relationships and provide community education to assist organizations in meeting FCT growth goals.

  • Facilitate and orchestrate the model implementation process.

  • Maintain relationships with organization highest level of Leadership with no less than quarterly contacts.

  • Provide organization with clinical consults on FCT cases.

  • Focus and train on developing high performing teams.

Program Coordination

  • Contact/coordinate with family preservation agencies per contracts, communicating with regional office personnel and state management teams to ensure contract compliance and effective implementation of services.

  • Educate, manage, and ensure adherence to HIPPA standards when sending/receiving Protected Health Information (PHI) through Encrypted email services. Construct and educate on data request protocol.

General

  • Be first point of contact for FCT contracted family preservation organization.

  • Compose and process routine correspondence, reports, and minutes.

  • Flexible for travel nationally regarding training, oversight, and program coordination.

  • Respond to and utilize e-mail accordingly.

  • Compile and produce accurate, complete and timely reports including tables and text using spreadsheet software in relation to FCT contracted organizations.

  • Operate and maintain databases and file systems to ensure accurate retrieval and confidentiality of information.

  • Establish and maintain accurate, complete file management procedures.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with all personnel and communicate effectively.

  • Submit billing and expenses reimbursement forms timely and accurately.

  • Perform other related duties as required in accordance with any established policies and procedures.

  • Additional responsibilities or projects as determined by immediate supervisor.

  • Meet deadlines as determined.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate or post-graduate degree

  • 2 years previous experience in an equivalent position.

  • High level of experience in and training with the in-home family systems model Family Centered Treatment®

  • Experience with Substance Use Disorders

  • Family Centered Treatment Certification

  • Bilingual/Multilingual

  • High level of experience with, computer software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point , and general knowledge of office equipment operation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to engage in and manage a wide range of intellectual and physical work.

  • Ability and flexibility to travel to various destinations or assignments nationally.

  • Ability to Work collaboratively and effectively with diverse staff, colleagues, and clients
