FCT-R Outcomes
Despite the inherent challenges and complexities of FCT-R cases, practitioners and families are achieving results.
Compared to FCT families, FCT-R families represent a more complex target population:
Higher proportion of substance use, domestic violence, and trauma
Higher proportion of reunification cases, which are more challenging and complex compared to stabilization cases
Higher proportion of poverty/economic hardship
Higher proportion of referrals from child welfare with co-occurring behavioral health issues
(Data represents all discharged families 1/1/24-7/8/25)

~FCT Family
I have seen success and healing for families through traditional FCT and believe in its effectiveness. Having the opportunity to tailor services through FCT-R provide much needed recovery education and support in our rural community, allowing children to remain connected to their families in positive, safe, and healthy ways.”
~FCT-R Practitioner
““FCT-R has proven to be a family system approach to substance use disorder treatment that is truly innovative and previously unavailable in the field. Families are very much aware of and impacted by an individual’s substance use disorder. FCT-R treats the whole family during the recovery process.”
