Texas SSCC Receives Funding to Support Unverified Families Through Family Centered Treatment

The Family Centered Treatment Foundation proudly announces new funding awarded to a Texas Single Source Continuum Contractor (SSCC) to provide Family Centered Treatment® (FCT) services to unverified kinship families statewide.

Unverified kinship caregivers—relatives or close family friends caring for children without formal licensing—play a critical role in keeping children connected to family, culture, and community. Through this funding, the SSCC will implement FCT, a nationally recognized, research-supported model that delivers intensive, in-home therapeutic services to promote safety, strengthen relationships, and prevent unnecessary foster care placements.

This initiative aligns with the state’s community-based care efforts led by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and reflects a continued commitment to trauma-informed, family-driven solutions that help families heal, stay intact, and thrive. Read more here
